I guess what I am driving at, is I think with android, they aren't really maximising the benefits of the high end hardware, performance wise anyway. I think apple devices are smoother these days, and they don't have as powerful hardware (and I kind of hate them). Sure, android phones are getting pretty high spec now, but as I understand it, you still get stutters in some activities because of the OS (I've seen games lagging with the latest snapdragon and 6gb of ram, which is kind of insane really). I brought a new budget android phone for my mum, and it's ****e compared to my lumia. The camera is still competitive with modern phones, it's reasonably fluid. Basically, if you are into Android gaming then this virtual device of sorts is a much better option than installing an emulator, as it will run directly on the hardware without the need for binary. That said, I really don't feel like my lumia 950 is outdated. PrimeOS is not an Android emulator per se, but an Android OS that can run flawlessly on any Windows PC leveraging the real power of CPU and GPU. The best you can do is buy an HP elite x3 (which I believe is the highest specced device), or wait for andromeda to be released. There is one android device, one of the xiaomi devices that partnered with MS, to make a windows ROM for it, but as I understand it, it was an experiment and was still a tad buggy. The hardware requires specially written drivers, so if there are not drivers, you can't run the OS on it.
